They bring different flavors from the fashion world to the Berlin stages, giving you a front-row seat to accessible fashion. Dotted across the city, here are the events to add to your four days of fashion frenzy itinerary and experience the atmosphere of Berlin Fashion Week.
Fashion is not just about the spectacular runway. Behind the meticulously crafted clothes lies an entire production process, design thinking, and creative juices being poured into creation.
The people who are presenting at BFW are all experts in their field, and events such as “METAMORPHOSIS – Dialogues about Change” bring together the voices of the future. Each day of the program, from 1pm until 5pm, various speakers from the world of fashion will talk about circular economy, AI, innovation, and other burning topics shaping the fashion industry today. Notable speakers include Scott Lipinski, CEO of Fashion Council Germany, Christiane Arp, Chairwoman of Fashion Council Germany, Grace Banks, Senior Global Editorial Manager at Condé Nast, and Luisa Dames, Founder & CEO of the Berlin-based shoe label Aeyde.

The event is organised by Fashion Council Germany, the governing body of BFW, in partnership with eBay, and will take place at Embassade Event Space.
Another powerful event with a rich tradition of conferences and discussions is TEDxBerlin. Taking place on February 2 from 9am to 11am at Kraftwerk Berlin, just a day after the frenzy of BFW, TEDxBerlin - TALKS offers you a moment to tap into reflection, zoning in on the world of design and its influence.
In partnership with Reference Studios, a key tastemaker and cultural connector in Berlin’s creative scene, this edition of TEDxBerlin TALKS will dive deep into the ideas behind what we wear and how design shapes meaning, behavior, and the future. This is a chance to view fashion not as an industry, but as an idea.

Each year, Studio2Retail, a BFW initiative launched by Fashion Council Germany and the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy, and Public Enterprises, bridges the gap between the fashion industry and the general public. Through a concept competition, several designers win the opportunity to present their collections in an innovative way through a presentation or a showcase at an event, involving an interesting location and an immersive experience.
This year, the winners are MAQU, an eco label experimenting with cacao and shiringa tree leather; COLRS, a menswear label where storytelling is at the heart of each collection; Kitschy Couture, celebrating diasporic identity and drawing on the designer’s own transcultural background and influences; Milk of Lime, which creates a wardrobe for “contemporary poets”; Plaid-à-Porter, giving vintage textiles, such as gobelin tapestries, crocheted blankets, and patchwork quilts, a second life through couture upcycling; and Vladimir Karaleev, who is offering progressive design since the brand’s founding in 2010.

These seem to be the three umbrella keywords under which Berlin Fashion Week has been operating for the past few years. Each season, the concept is taken even further, exploring the frontiers of fashion innovation in all three categories for a more conscious and kind to nature and people production.
