— Lon Men’s Noodle House is probably my favorite restaurant in Berlin. I love its simplicity, authenticity and consistency. In a city that changes constantly, it is one of those places I keep returning to. My partner loves it as much as I do, which has made it the setting for many great meals, conversations and memories over the years.
Â
— Bruck & Breck is probably my favorite hidden place in Berlin. In my opinion, it’s one of the city’s best bars — intimate, understated and full of character. It feels like a secret that somehow survived in a city that is constantly changing.
Â
— The last event I truly enjoyed was my recent exhibition at Studio1111 in Berlin, where I presented Lobster Studies and Baseline Drift: Challengers Studies. Of course, I was happy about the work itself, but what made the evening special was seeing so many friends and familiar faces gathered together in one place. As you get older, life becomes busier and it becomes harder to stay connected. For a few hours, everyone was there, sharing the same experience.
It was also a pleasure to work with Till and Finn Harter, the father-son duo behind Studio1111. Every collaboration with them feels incredibly personal and welcoming. There is a genuine sense of trust, warmth and community that is increasingly rare. It never really feels like work — it feels like family.
Â
— To be honest, I rarely plan around a single event. What I look forward to most are opportunities to reconnect with artists, friends and creative communities throughout the city. Some of the most meaningful cultural experiences in Berlin happen in conversations before or after an exhibition rather than inside the exhibition itself.
