For the occasion, two fan zones will emerge in the city. While they will be ideal outdoor places to watch the games and immerse yourself in the football mood and fan frenzy, they will offer much more than that. Over 100 activities are expected to take place during this month of celebration, all free of charge.
In parallel to these two fan zones, numerous bars, cafés and open-air venues throughout the capital will be showing live broadcasts of the matches.

The number one location for all Berlin football fans to gather is the fan zone located in the heart of the city, between the Victory Column and the Brandenburg Gate. For the event, the 17. Juni Straße has been partially covered with artificial grass, providing Berlin with a brand-new 'pop-up' park nearly 2 kilometers long. The main attraction at this fan zone is the unmissable giant football goal, set for the occasion, which transforms the historic 'Tor' [gate] into the world’s largest 'Fußball Tor' [goal]. This metallic structure, about 60 meters wide and 20 meters high, offers an unprecedented view of Berlin's most emblematic monument. Several large screens have been installed throughout the fan zone to ensure optimal public viewing of all matches played by the German national team, as well as many other games. The area is also designed to host open-air cinema shows, concerts, and various readings and talks.
Another fan zone has been set up in front of the nearby Reichstag building, welcoming visitors daily from 2 PM to 12 AM. The 51 games will be broadcast live, and various events such as workshops, DJ sets, shows, exhibitions, and more will take place there. This location has also been chosen as the Home of Adidas Football Stadion.
Two days before the first game of UEFA EURO 2024, which will be played between Germany and Scotland in Munich on June 14, the fan zone at the Brandenburg Gate will be inaugurated with an opening concert. This family-friendly event will be hosted by Hadnet Tesfai.
The first half of the concert will feature the PxP Allstars, Álvaro Soler (The Voice Kids coach and Latin pop artist), Elif (Berlin pop musician), and Leony (who performed the official song for EURO 2024). The second half will feature an exclusive performance by Berlin’s number one rapper, Luciano. Additionally, a stunning dance performance by French choreographer Sadeck Berrabah is expected between the two concerts
This free event will take place between 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM. Admission to the fan zone will start at 4 PM, but we highly recommend arriving earlier to avoid long waiting times at the security checkpoints.

Sustainability has been a major focus in organizing this month-long celebration in the capital. For instance, the artificial turf used for the “pop-up” park on 17. Juni Straße is 100% recyclable and will be distributed to various sports associations around the city after the event. Additionally, 80% of the materials used for the installations are borrowed.
Sunscreen dispensers, waste sorting garbage cans, and free drinkable water will be provided for visitors. Audio descriptions and subtitles will also ensure inclusivity for all attendees.
These initiatives are part of the 'Fußballkultursommer' organized by Kulturprojekte Berlin, a company collaborating with numerous partners to promote Berlin through cultural events. They are also responsible for initiatives such as free admission to Berlin’s museums every first Sunday of the month.
