“Good times and natural wines” is the slogan of this beautiful wine bar in Kreuzberg. Arran, originally from New Zealand, has been in Berlin since 2008 and has worked in the coffee industry up until today. Together with his friend Hubert from Paris, they opened The Rad, a joyful wine bar with a cosy atmosphere, flowers on a wooden bar, and a focus on natural wines.
The bar was originally going to be called Dreirad (German for “Three-wheel bike”), representing the three partners who opened it together and who, without the other, could not manage, just like a bike with three wheels couldn't stand with only two. Arran highlights the personal relationships they have with the producers they work with.
Their wine list is primarily filled with natural wines, of which ninety percent are imported from Spain and Italy, his favourite places to travel; however, lovely wines from Austria and Serbia can also be found on their diverse wine menu. Creative, homemade cocktails for non-wine lovers are available too. Expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a great team that ensures a successful evening. We recommend their grilled cheese sandwich, one of the small bites they offer alongside their wines.

Right next to the Markthalle Neun, you will find Nomi's creamy pink logo. Concrete walls meet a cosy atmosphere and modern interior. Here, you will be greeted by good vibes and good wine.
The concept centers around women in the wine industry. The wines are primarily produced by women, making space in an overly male-dominated world, as Marie, one of the owners, puts it.
Nomi was created over two years ago by four energetic people who wanted to create something new. Together, they brought their experience in gastronomy, wine expertise, communication and event management to the table and created Nomi. The wines are biological, biodynamic and mostly European. The offer concentrates on natural wine, but the menu has numerous alternatives for non-wine drinkers. Marie states, “No one should drink a wine they don’t like; that's why we always let the guest try it first”. The wine menu changes frequently, so regulars will always be entertained.
During the week, the atmosphere stays calm, but on weekends, the bar is crowded with wine-drunk conversations and even some dancing. Nomi offers plenty of events, which can be found on their Instagram page. And as if it couldn't sound more appealing, the wine bar offers a wine-friendly menu, with sourdough bread and plum ragout, and on dinner evenings, there's even a winter menu.

Old school hip hop fills the background, completing a cosy atmosphere, dimmed light and bubbly chatter. The walls are decorated with art, and the staff is motivated and friendly. You might have already heard of MORE, an online wine shop offering one of the world's most extensive wine selections. They have now opened a wine bar Blanc de Fck in Neukölln to cherish their unique wine selection, along with one of the finest Jura wine collections that you can find in Berlin.
Blanc de Fck is proud to be a natural wine bar with a varied, large wine list that few can compete with. The bar invites wine lovers and specialists to celebrate the product's beauty together, and encourages their clients to connect by sharing the same passion. Even though Blanc de Fck is a wine bar and not a restaurant, the empty stomach can still be fed with small bites like cheese plates to share, olives and salt crackers.
The offer expands to 240 wine options; each comes with a clear description of the wine, and the selection changes frequently. It includes a spectrum from well-known vintners to small producers. You will be in good hands with expert sommeliers, even if your knowledge of wine is limited.

Right next to the ancient Berlin Wall in Berlin Mitte, you will find Mauernwinzer. Walls filled with wine bottles and a fireplace, perfect for the season. Peter Brock, the owner of Mauernwinzer and a qualified sommelier, opened the wine bar back in 2015 and works today alongside his wife. The bar is known for its respectful selection of German wines, from small vintners to more well-known producers. The goal is to sell wines of high quality but affordable to anyone. A close relationship with their vintners is of great importance.
The offer varies from prickling PetNats to Orange-, and Nature wines. Mauernwinzers offers fresh tarte flambée of all sorts, as well as cheese and ham platters from small German producers. Wine tastings and wine seminars are available to learn more about the different kinds of wines.
If you’re planning a wine event with friends or colleagues, Mauernwinzer will privatise the bar. A four-course menu can be prepared for special occasions. If you are still not convinced, Mauernwinzer received second place for outstanding service in a competition for the best wine shops at the German Wine Institute. Come by and see for yourself.

The word Freundschaft (eng. friendship) is written over the door of this lovely wine bar. The name of the bar invites to a friendly and intimate evening but is also based on a deeper collective, as Billy, the owner, explained to us.
When you enter, a long wooden table spreads through the room, surrounded by wine chatter on bar stools. The concept of one big table allows wine lovers to sit close to the sommelier, which is practical for the service to take good care of you and invites you to ask plenty of questions regarding the wines.
The bottle collection is impressive, with up to 800 different bottles on the menu. The wine by the glass changes constantly, with a large variety to choose from. The prices are affordable and invite everyone to literally and metaphorically sit at the same table.
At Freundschaft, the guests share conversations and become friends over wine preferences. Another reason why the term “friendship” is such a fitting name. Billy takes excellent care of the relationship between his vintners and carefully selects the bottles himself. Although food is intentionally secondary, Freundschaft offers simple dishes inspired by the Vienna coffee house cuisine. Expect Russian eggs and more.

Walking down SophienstraĂźe, you will pass by a little sign of a wine bottle shooting into space. At first sight, Rocket looks like a cosy yet ordinary wine shop. But behind the counter is an almost hidden, long wooden table for guests to share a glass or two.
The values of Rocket rely on a sustainable and transparent experience. For them, wine should be like it used to be, not filled with chemicals, sterilisers or colourants. Their natural wines are of the best quality since the bar has strong ties, sometimes even friendships, with its producers. Rocket offers a wine gathering called Wine Rush to bring the vintners closer to their guests, inviting them to showcase their latest vintages.
A small food menu includes cheese platters and homemade snacks. Each product can be associated with the producer's name; often, there’s even a story to tell. The wines are from all across Europe, focusing mainly on French wines. The bottles change weekly and are adapted to demand and seasonality. Rocket promises to find the right wine for everyone.
The manifest of sincere products is appealing and makes the visit even more exciting. Keep in mind that their main focus is the wine shop, and closing time is around 9 pm. The bar offers a special Xmas box option filled with their best products. Perfect for a Christmas present. Orders are available until the 10th of December.

Wei-En-Chan and Jonas combine their shared passion and open together a tiny bar at the Romantikerkiez in Berlin Mitte. Bar Schwips combines a variety of tea and wine on their menu, a concept out of the ordinary. It invites customers to a warm evening, leaving them, as the name says, Schwips (eng. tipsy) with alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages. A collected project that promises high-end service, quality products and a cosy atmosphere.
The drinks are accompanied by a selected food menu, including bar snacks but also hearty goulash or pickled vegetables. It truly whets your appetite just by looking at the menu.
Their wine card is playfully selected into three categories. The first category contains joyful wines, yet light and easy to drink. The second category is dedicated to crazy and more natural bottles. The third one showcases mature and complex wines with depth and age. A wide range of varieties can be expected, with 80 bottle positions and ten open wines that change frequently. So, tea or wine?

This bar is not strictly a wine bar but has the same characteristics. Rustic interior with a warm atmosphere. Giovanni, the owner, calls it a high-end pub. After a long career in gastronomy, he opened Salvatore Pulvermacher, named after his father. The goal was to create an easy-going bar with good quality products at a fair price.
The menu offers fine Italian wines alongside traditional German beer on tap. The bar is full of regulars and well-visited, especially on weekends, so don’t be deceived by its quiet side street near the Mauernpark. Fun fact: there is a bowl filled with fruits in the corner that is offered to guests for free.
