The team of GeschlossenFuerMorgen has made these sweatshirts in collaboration with a creative agency Buddybrand, with all profits going to United We Stream, an initiative keeping clubs virtual (and virtually alive) until they can physically reopen their doors so we can dance together again. The sweatshirt, and a 1-minute film that goes with it and produced by v.916 studios, is a short narrative of Berlin’s culture slowly losing its heart beat. Highly intense to watch and raising awareness for supporting the local businesses and industries facing financial burdens because of a pandemic, this short but very effective piece cuts both cold and hot through your veins, as a prelude to wearing this comfy but thought- and, hopefully, action-provoking piece of clothing with which you can actually manifest your support for the thinning Berlin’s culture scene.
What comes after the pandemic?
Other initiatives through which you can help save Berlin’s gastro-scene and local businesses are AlarmstufeRot, KiezRetter, and PayNowEatLater. What comes after the pandemic? We will come out of it one way or another as individuals, but what will happen to our city’s cultural institutions remains a question, if you don’t act on it now.
