In a metropolis like Berlin, there are plenty of great places to eat, and it can be hard to know which is best for which occasion.
Whether you're looking for healthy meals or the best wine bars, there's something for everyone. When it comes to steaks, however, it's a bit more delicate. You might find a restaurant with a great location, but spending a lot of money on an overcooked piece of meat isn't necessarily ideal. We've got you covered.
After all, steaks are as important to German cuisine, and will be treated with respect, whether they are served raw, medium or well done.

At Brecht's Steakhaus in Mitte, meat is taken very seriously. Their beef comes from Irish grass-fed cattle, which is reflected in its juicy, tender flavor. It's a concert for our taste buds.
The menu features Argentinian rump steak, Irish fillet of beef, and regional roast beef. These are served with pepper sauce and port wine jus. The dry-aged section offers ribeye and sirloin steak from Argentina. Before reaching the guests, the meat is roasted over a lava stone grill. The main course selection is extensive and includes everything from truffle beef fillet to Viennese schnitzel. Several vegetarian dishes are also available.
The prices are moderate, and the atmosphere is relaxed yet elegant. The terrace offers a great view of the Spree, perfect for summer dinners. The restaurant was also listed as one of the 50 best steakhouses in Germany by the Schlemmeratlas.

A New York steakhouse straight out of a book. Located at Potsdamer Platz, Midtown Grill offers a true experience. All steaks are grilled over glowing charcoal for an extraauthentic flavor. The menu features a 30-day aged bone-in sirloin steak from northern Germany. The bone adds a deeper flavor to the steak's already intense aroma. The menu features two different Black Angus steaks, each aged using a different technique, as well as a Wagyu steak from Bavaria. There is also a vast selection of fine seafood. Portions are chosen in the butcher-style area, and the open kitchen allows you to watch your steak being prepared. All steaks are reasonably priced. The interior is modern and spacious, making it a perfect location for a date night, but families are also welcome.
There is also a Sunday roast, their signature weekend tradition.
